By installing or using MojNote, you agree to the following terms:
1. Account
MojNote is used with a signed-in account in every version (the web and the app installed on a phone or computer). Keeping your password and the devices you are signed in on secure is your responsibility.
2. Privacy
We respect your privacy. Your personal information and notes are processed and stored on the server only to provide the necessary services (such as sync and backup), and are never sold or rented to third parties. On plans that include data encryption, turning it on in your profile stores your note content encrypted on the server.
3. Free plan
On the free plan, text notes are stored on the server and synced across your devices up to the limit set for this plan (shown on the pricing page and in the app). Notes created beyond that limit stay only on the device where they were created. Images cannot be added on the free plan; images already in your notes (for example from a paid subscription) stay where they are. Free plan limits may change with notice, but editing and deleting notes you already have on the server is never locked because of these limits.
4. Advertising
The free plan shows ads; paid plans are ad-free. Every ad is marked with an "Ad" label and never appears inside the editor or among the content of your notes. The content of your notes is never read or used to choose or target ads, and no information from your account or notes is given to advertisers. Only aggregate statistics are recorded for advertiser reports (the number of views and clicks per ad per day); to avoid counting duplicates, your IP address and browser type are kept in hashed form for at most one hour. Clicking an ad takes you to the advertiser's website, which has its own terms and privacy policy; MojNote is not responsible for its content, products or services. If an advertising network is used in the future, its ads will be shown only inside a separate frame on a separate domain that has no access to your account or notes.
5. On-device copy
For offline use and speed, a copy of your notes is kept on the device (in the browser or app storage). Clearing browser data or removing the app deletes this copy. Notes that have synced to the server come back when you sign in again, but notes that have not synced yet (for example because of the free plan limit or no internet connection) are lost.
6. Fair use
To keep the service stable, the number of requests, the size of each note and file uploads are limited. Automated or abnormal use that harms the service or other users may be limited or stopped.
7. Backup responsibility
MojNote is merely a note-taking tool. Taking regular backups of your data, and keeping those backups somewhere outside of MojNote (on other devices, personal cloud storage, etc.), is solely and exclusively the user's responsibility.
8. Disclaimer of liability
The creator and developer of this platform bears no legal, financial, or compensatory liability for any loss, corruption, or disclosure of data resulting from user error, technical failure, cyberattacks, or any other event. Use of the service is entirely at the user's own risk.
9. Force majeure
Under circumstances beyond reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to war, natural disasters, fire, widespread internet or infrastructure outages, or government actions, the creator bears no responsibility for service interruption or data loss.
10. Policy changes
This policy may be updated in the future. In case of material changes, users will be notified through the app, and re-acceptance may be requested if necessary.
